Rae Spoon & Alexandre Decoupigny

Liedtexte

track 01) Worauf Wartest Du? (Instrumental)
       Decoupigny and Spoon

track 02) U-bahn (Key of C)
       Rae Spoon

         C, F, C
         Fifty years have gone by.
         C, Am, G
Looking from balloons shot from the sky.
         C, F, C, Am
The U-bahn goes right through the wall,
         C, F, C
         But I’m impassable.
Statues being pulled from the sky and the secrets behind your eyes. Everything was written underground I find it hard to trust you now.
Fifty years have gone by. Looking from balloons shot from the sky. The U-bahn goes right through the wall, But I’m impassable.

track 03) Snitchin a Ride (Key of E)
       Decoupigny and Spoon

“..ein Lied über einen Schwarzfahrer, das käme gut an.
Es gibt so viele Schwarzfahrer… “. (ein Wartender im U-Bahnhof Schloßstraße)

          E, A, E, B
When I walk into the U bahn station
I’m looking for Paper’s thrown away.
I don’t cause troubles I just like to read
And I can do it for free.
C#m, E, C#m, E, C#m, E, B, E I walk Down to the edge of the platform Trying to catch the front of the train. Sometimes I buy a ticket, but today I feel lucky I’m snitching a ride again.
I don’t like Marijuana. I don’t like Cocaine, But there’s one thing I just can’t quit Snitchin a ride’s my game.
I don’t hate the train controllers Even when I’m caught. I’m just doing it to feel alive and Their just doing their jobs.
Chorus

track 04) Doers Don’t Wait
       Decoupigny and Spoon

“We’re doers. We don’t wait “. (ein Wartender im U-Bahnhof Potsdamer Platz)

          Doers don’t wait.
          Waiting is wasting.
At the end of the line
You get what you put in.
Schaffer warten nicht Warten ist Verschwendung Letztendlich Gibts das was du reinsteckst

track 05) End Of The Line
       Alex Decoupigny

“Ich warte auf gar nichts mehr. Alles, worauf ich mal gewartet habe,
ist sowieso nie gekommen.. “. (ein Wartender im U-Bahnhof Alexanderplatz)

          E, E/F#, G
          i went out today
hoping i would get it done
          but when i returned
          everything had just gone wrong
why do i wait when everything I do and say stares back at me and all the other parts are gone

C#, E, A, D, C# and at the the end of the line theres no one that waits for you
my heart's in my hand i think i might let it drop i really dont care i dont want to pick it up
i am waiting no more everything i waited for never arrived
and at the the end of the line theres no one that waits for you
and at the the end of the line theres no one that waits for you

track 06) I Won’t Get Lost (Berlin Fever)
       Rae Spoon

“I’m waiting for why I’m here to make sense”. (ein Wartender im U-Bahnhof Alexanderplatz)

Will you play a tune tiny Berlin room.
Far below the street. Cold around my feet,
My letter says I’m leaving, but I’m not so sure.
I left pieces of myself in the canal behind your house.
I won’t get lost. I won’t get lost. I won’t get lost. I won’t get lost.
Everybody’s got Berlin fever. Everybody’s got Berlin fever. Everybody’s got Berlin fever. Everybody’s got Berlin fever.

track 07) U-bahn Cowboy

“Es gibt viele Arten zu warten.. “. (ein Wartender im U-Bahnhof Innsbrucker Platz)

          B, A, E, B, A, E
Imaginary Line. I can see the light.
          Fm, A, E, B, A, E
My mind is following a ghost train in the night.
B, A, E, Fm, A, E Even if I can’t see them. I like to watch the trains. Riding through the station and in my deepest dreams.
Platforms in my memory Could go either way. Depending on the moment And how I choose to wait.
Phantom train goes forward You can’t see it, it’s so fast. We’re waiting for the future Because we can’t change the past.
Imaginary Line. I can see the light. My mind is following a ghost train in the night.
